I won't lie to you, this wedding design feels very 2009-2013, which is outdated but so fun! I love the jerseys, mason jars, stadium food, and total commitment to the theme. Sure, you could go classy and traditional with just a few baseball touches on a groom's cake, cufflinks, or late night snacks but lets really lean into it.
This design isn't for the lukewarm, casual baseball watcher. Both parties should be equally taken with the sport.
Colors
Colors could go one of two ways for a baseball wedding. You could go with the "standard" baseball color palette of red, white, and blue (with cream and navy), or with your team's colors. The Pinterest board features the former.
Décor
The possibilities are endless for baseball themed décor.
You can paint anything to look like a baseball- mason jars, a card box, vases- or use actual baseballs in cute ways- as table numbers, in centerpieces, or cut apart to make a heart.
Bases can show your monogram, display your seating chart, or designate the head table.
Baseball themed signage or baseball puns are a fun touch. See some of my favorites below.
Though flowers in the color scheme would be nice, this could also be an area of money saving. Focus on the theme instead of the flowers!
What the Main Two Wear
The main two can wear whatever they want! I mean, really, this is always the case, but any color suit or style of dress could work.
Accessories, while unnecessary, add a nice touch. You could opt for a bowtie or corsage made from a baseball, a baseball print tie or bowtie, baseball Keds, or even pose with a baseball bat.
Though certainly an extra, if this were my wedding, I would customize jerseys for "bride" and "groom" to wear at the reception or while making a getaway.
Wedding Party
Depending on your color palette, the bridal party can wear blue, red, or your team's colors. Any accessories for the main two would work for the rest but there should be some differentiation.
Getting ready could be another place to add in some baseball personality. Bridesmaids and groomsmen alike can don personalized jerseys or baseball style tees.
Food
Stadium food like hot dogs, nachos, and chicken tenders work so well with this theme. A grazing table can be made in the shape of a stadium. Cookies, donuts, and cakes can be made to resemble baseballs. Peanuts of crackerjack are baseball classics that can be given as favors or saved for late night snacks. One of my favorite ideas is serving ice cream in mini baseball helmets like they do at games.
